Founded in 1971, its aims were (and still are, today):

* to enhance the area of Kingsdown designated a conservation area in accordance with the proposals put forward in the 1967 Civic Amenities Act and subsequent legislation

* to encourage high standards of architecture and town planning in Kingsdown

* to stimulate public interest in, and to care for, the beauty, history and character of Kingsdown and its surroundings.

Come and join us! The North Bristol Wellbeing Choir is a local singing group currently based at the Cameron Centre in Lockleaze.

Singing together can be energising and refreshing, lift your spirits and reduce your stress levels.

The sessions are 50p and open to everyone - regardless of your ability or experience.

Facilitated by Bristol Community Housing Foundation and the Upper Horfield Community Trust this group is community-led and supports local people and service providers in local action to improve the appearance of the streets, front gardens and public spaces and support specific groups to engage better with statutory service providers.

Local people fundraising for improvements to Dame Emily Park in Bedminster and putting on activities and events.

We are a group of concerned parents who live in Long Ashton, Bristol. Our two local schools are oversubscribed, and the only solution is for our four-year olds to catch taxis to schools further afield. We're lobbying for more school places in the village. We hope our blog will act as a source to inform everyone about our progress. We also hope you will join this online social group, so others can see the support for this cause.
