London Feminist Network

London Feminist Network

This group is to bring together Feminist individuals and groups working on women's rights in London, UK. We organise our own campaigns, such as an annual Reclaim The Night march against r*pe and male violence. Members are involved Anti-P#rn London and Bin The Bunny, we run a Feminist Book Group. We work together with other groups in order to increase women's resistance to male violence against women in all its forms, such as r*pe, sexual assault, domestic violence, p*rnography, pr*stitution and the wider 'sx-industry'. It is intended to meet regularly, providing a vital physical space for women to meet face to face to discuss, collaborate and plan action with other Feminists. You are not alone!. This list is to organise those meetings, share notes, listings, minutes etc. This is a WOMEN-ONLY group and list for all FEMINIST women and is intended for London/surrounding residents who AGREE with this description of our group (obviously!). Please note that racism, homophobia or similar prejudice will not be tolerated on this list or in the group - the LFN is about uniting Feminist women from ALL backgrounds who are working on women's rights and against patriarchy in ALL its forms. If you are a MAN, do NOT agree with ANY of the description of this group or our campaigns, or are ANTI-FEMINIST then do not try to join this list. Note that hate speech of any kind can result in immediate removal from the list, without notice. This list is for discussion between other list members - DO NOT forward, copy or quote from messages on this list without express permission from the original author/poster. When you apply to join you will be required to confirm that you have read and agree with this description of the group. If you don't agree but join just to keep up to date with news and events then please don't attack all those who joined because they do agree with the nature of this group. Also note that 'Women In London' produces a news and event roundup you may find just as useful.
