Almost Acoustic Folk Club: Eastside Arts

Almost Acoustic Folk Club

Paddington, Sydney, Australia People really warm to the atmosphere at

Almost Acoustic. Over the time folk music concerts have been happening, we have welcomed excellent overseas artists, many interstate, and a great many artists from Sydney and nearby.Almost Acoustic concerts now take place in the church hall known as Eastside Arts, 395 Oxford Street, Paddington. The acoustics in the room are excellent, with minimal amplification. There is an old fashioned candlelit atmosphere. Seating is mostly at tables with black tablecloths, unless an exceptionally large crowd is expected.Meals and drinks are available, the venue has a liquor license, so no BYO please. Soft drinks, tea and cappuccino and desserts are also available in-house.The building is where the Paddington Markets are held - opposite the Paddington Arms Hotel. You can park in the Church's carpark in Gordon Street - turn right at the Paddington Town Hall and take the first left if coming from the city.Concerts start at 8.15pm and doors open at 8pm..Admission is usually $15/$12 - more for overseas/interstate artists. Children under 12 free.Folk nights at Almost Acoustic are usually the second Saturday of the month, but there are variations to fit in with touring artists.
